Garage door openers can come in different flavors. If you haven't been in the market for a garage door opener lately it is important to know that the State of California now requires new garage door openers to have an integrated battery backup. This means that all of our new openers comply with this law. Here is a quick rundown of what we carry, along with the most recent advancements and features in modern openers:

  • Opener Features

    • Battery Backup

      California now requires battery backup to be built into every new garage door opener. If your power goes out the new opener has enough power to open and close the door approximately 20 times straight from the battery.

    • DC Motors

      Older motors operated using AC, but have been gradually replaced because DC motors are quieter, operate more smoothly, and facilitate battery backup.

    • Internet Connectivity

      Liftmaster openers can be connected over Wi-Fi and the myQ mobile app. This lets you use your device (phone, smart watch, computer) to remotely open and close your garage door from anywhere, as well as get status, alerts, and logs every time your door has been opened or closed. You can even integrate it with services like Amazon to get packages delivered directly into your garage.
